Semih Tümen

I am an Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of Graduate Studies at TED University, Department of Economics. I am also a Research Fellow at IZA, ERF, GLO, and a Research Affiliate at HiCN.

I received my MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and BSc in Economics from the Middle East Technical University.

My research focuses on Applied Microeconomics; particularly on labor markets, migration, education, development, inequality, and social networks. I am also interested in econometric policy/impact evaluation.

My work on Syrian refugees has been awarded the Kuznets Prize in 2017.
